ブルガリの新しいホテルに滞在！

2012年5月28日、ロンドンのナイツブリッジに
「ブルガリ ホテルズ & リゾーツ・ロンドン」がオープンしました。
ロンドンで高級ホテルの新築での新規オープンは40年目だそう。
そしてこの6月11日、12日、私は本当に幸運なことに､
ホテル開催の「オープニング・イベント」にご招待を受けました。
久しぶりのロンドンは女王陛下のジュビリー開催の余韻の中で
なんだか街は華やかでしたし、オリンピックを控えているせいか、
街中にはやけに観光客が多かったことも印象的でした。
そんな中、「プレステージの高いエリアに最高級ホテルの開業」でしたから、
有名女優やセレブリティも多く来館し、夢のような華やかな夜の体験でした。
1日目は世界中のジャーナリストやゲストと、ブルガリ側のホストで
着席ディナー、2日目の夜はオープニング・メインイベント
「セーブ・ザ・チルドレン」と銘打ったディナーが開催されました。
流石に2日目は多くのセレブリティが参加し､見ているだけでもドキドキ！！！
「ブルガリ」の社会貢献は伝統的であり、熱心な活動が知られています。
ホテルはもちろん最高級ランク、少しだけイタリアの薫りがします。
でもマテリアルの上質さにはことごとく驚かされましたが、
高級感を誇示することなく、エレガントに、モダンに演出されたホテルは、
ブルガリが放つ“品格”が漂っていました。
Staying at the Bulgari’s New Hotel!
Bulgari Hotels and Resorts London opened on May 28th 2012, in Knightsbridge, London,
This is the newly built luxury hotel opening in London in these forty years.
On June 11th and 12th, I was one of the fortunate few to receive an invitation for the opening events hosted by the hotel. The city of London was bustling with the energy between the Queen’s jubilee and the awaiting the summer’s Olympic games. The occasion of top-class luxury hotel in a prestigious neighborhood attracted the rich and famous, and the glamorous night was an experience straight from a dream.
First night was a formal dinner for journalists and guests, hosted by Bulgari. The main event, on the second night, “Save the Children” dinner was in line with Bulgari’s tradition of philanthropic efforts and attended by many celebrities. I couldn’t help being a bit star-struck in such a star-studded gala!
The hotel with a hint of an Italian flare, was of course best of its class, and I was astonished at the sheer richness of the material. But this hotel was not about rubbing luxury in your face, instead you felt the Bulgari’s tasteful modern elegance.
