KYOKO SEKINE - HOTEL JOURNALIST

スイスに暮らしていたのに、バーゼルは一度しか行ったことがなかったのです。
今回はどうしても知りたいホテルのひとつ
「Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois」に泊まりに行きました。

ホテルはライン川沿いに建ち、
1681年から歴史を刻んでいます。
ナポレオン・ボナパルトも、エリザベス2世も、ピカソも、
そしてト－マス・マンもゲストに名を連ねていました。

メインレストランは地中海料理でミシュラン2ツ星、
ゴーミヨで18ポイントという高い評価。
なによりも、堂々とした空気感は、歴史と伝統の成せる技でしょうか。

The Oldest Five-star Hotel in Europe, at Basel

Though I lived in Switzerland, I visited Basel only once.
This time I travelled to stay “Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois”,
that is one of the hotels
I really want to know.

The hotel sits along the Rhine and its history can be traced back to 1681.
The guests include Napoleon Bonaparte, Queen Elizabeth II, Picasso,
and Thomas Mann.

The main restaurant features Mediterranean food
and gets two Michelin starsand 18 points from Gault Millau.
Also above everything I wondered if the stately atmosphere derived from
its history and tradition.
