やっぱりスイスは美しい！
2007年にユネスコ世界文化遺産に登録されたラヴォー地区Lavauxを廻りました。
かつて暮らしていたスイスですが、やっぱり、スイスの美しさは群を抜いています。
ローザンヌからモントルー郊外のシヨン城まで、
レマン湖の上にのびる丘陵に葡萄畑が続く美しい風景で有名なラヴォー地区Lavauxでは、
レマン湖を前に、連なる葡萄畑の合間合間に、ヴィレットVillette 、キュリーCully、
リュトリLutry、リエ Riex 、リヴァRivaz、シェーブルChexbres、
サン・サフォラン St.Saphorin など、葡萄農家が暮らす小さな村が点在しています。
この周辺では、ワインづくりの長い伝統と歴史そのものが、生きている文化遺産なのです。
現在の葡萄畑の原型は、11世紀頃の者と言われています。
ワイン造りの伝統が約1000年もあるなんて、驚きです。
レマン湖の向こうにはフレンチアルプスや、水で有名なエヴィアンの町が見え、
天気が済んでいる日には、遠くモンブランまで見渡せます。

Beautiful Switzerland!
I traveled around Lavaux, the district that was registered on the World Heritage List in 2007.
I had lived in Switzerland, but again I find the beauty of Switzerland is outstanding.
Lavaux is famous for the breathtaking landscape of vineyards that are on the hills
along Lake Geneva from Lausanne to Castle of Chillon,in the suburb of Montreux.
Overlooking Lake Geneva, grape growers live in small villages, such as Cully, Lutry, Riex, Rivaz, Chexbres and St.Saphorin, scattered about between vineyards,
The long winemaking tradition and history of this area is kind of living World Heritage.
It is said that the archetype of current vineyards were made around the 11th century.
It’s such a surprise to know that the tradition of winemaking lasts about 1000 years.
Over Lake Geneva you can find French Alps and Evian where is known for its mineral water,
and if it’s a clear day, you would be able to view Mont Blanc far away as well.
